PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: IN THE NAME OF THE DEAD

Image
From John Collins Ministries: "And when they say to you, ‘Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,’ should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?” Isaiah 8:19 (NKJV). “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 (NKJV). Have you ever heard someone say that they are praying to their dead grandmother for strength? It is not only a Catholic thing but it is a complete disconnect in a persons' faith and disobedience to God that leads people to reach out in prayer to their dead relatives, to the ‘saints’ of the church and especially to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ. Let me be very clear, Mary, the mother of Jesus is NOT the mediator of your faith and to pray to her is the same as praying to any other dead person. Jesus Christ is the way to get to the Father and it is through Him that you must pray. You have been given a mediator in ...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: THANKSGIVING

Image
As we pray for those without food and those without shelter today, let us also praise God for His mercy and thank God for His precious Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. John Collins, Evangelist, John Collins Ministries From John Collins Ministries: “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV). People think of these words and think of communion to be taken in church. Before there were Christian churches the apostles gathered in the homes of their fel...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: SOME GIVE ALL

Image
From John Collins Ministries: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13 (NKJV). Jesus  spoke these words to prepare His  apostles  for His crucifixion.  Jesus  made the ultimate  sacrifice  for us. Many may not expect to encounter a  situation  where this is a possibility here in  America . Yet, there are soldiers that encounter this situation and face the possibility of  death  side by side there fellow  soldiers  every day while  fighting battles  for their country. There has been many wars that  America  has fought in and many men who have died. There is not a choice for a  soldier  to go to fight for their country;  they just do . Most of those men will tell you that they  fight  for the men at their side. They  face death  with  courage  and  heroism  for  love ...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: WHAT'S THAT?

Image
JOHN COLLINS EVANGELIST: BUBBLES OF DENIAL Introduction “Are you talking to me? Are you talking to me?”   If we hear that phrase with a heavy New York accent and a hand gesture by the speaker pointing to himself, we chuckle.   The prophets of old told of tales of horror and pain, and the Hebrews looked at them blankly as if to ask “Are you talking to me?”   Sadly, we are in the same situation now, and it isn’t funny.   The commandments that God wrote for Moses and the Israelites have been padded with the lie that we don’t have to pay attention to them because Jesus replaced them.   Wrong.   Fear and trembling have been padded with shiny promises of wealth and fortune if we give enough money to a prosperity pastor.   Wrong.   Pastor John Collins is passionately preaching and teaching that our will gets us in trouble, that God wants us to come back to Him and find Jesus again follow the will of God.   We don’t want to ...

DESIRING JESUS

Image
JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: Opening your heart. “Open the eyes of my heart” is a popular Christian song and it holds a lesson that Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries teaches in a recent message.   Consider closely what it is that you ask for when you consider your faith, your heart, your sin, and your path to heaven.   It’s how we get to our real final destination that we work on here in this life, says Pastor John Collins .   Pastor John Collins writes: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 (NKJV). We know the story; that Jesus suffered for us, that He died for us, that He was separated from God for us, that He was buried and that He rose again. We know that Jesus is our Savior and that the work was completed by Him as our propitiation. What can Jesus do for you now? There are many who pray for healing...

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: Truth

Image
Pastor John Collins: “The truth does lie inside of you and it is accessible to you.”~ Pastor John Collins.  Have you ever felt that there is a space inside of you that needs to be filled?   Do you search for something to fill that void?   We are created with the need for God.   The space that we feel is our soul reaching for God.   Pastor John Collins , evangelist and pastor of Love That Cross Ministries , posts daily devotionals that speak to our souls.   God created us, created that drive in us to need Him .   Our world is methodically erasing the “ foundation of faith ” ( Pastor John Collins , 2018) that is necessary for hope and trust in God .   Society has so much evil , so much negative , it’s difficult to peel away from the world because it clings to us like a skin that we can’t shed .   It’s taking us away from God and the acceptance of sin as normal drives us further from God .   What do y...
