FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: PROCRASTINATION “The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.” Proverbs 21:25 (NKJV). “He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough!” Proverbs 28:19 (NKJV). Procrastination is a problem for many. There are many reasons to procrastinate and all of them come with excuses that we make up in our heads. You can’t find the time to work out because you are always at work which is why you can’t find the time to get to your kids’ games or events. You can create an excuse for putting off anything that you feel guilty for avoiding but in the long run it just creates more guilt. Life is complicated and we set goals for ourselves and when we don’t meet those goals we end up punishing ourselves mentally. Procrastination becomes a habit and a way to hurt ourselves when we don’t feel that we deserve to meet the goals that we have set, whatever those may be. God ...
