PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: INNER BATTLE

From John Collins Ministries:  “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lords’; But the earth He has given to the children of men.” Psalm 115:16 (NKJV). God  has given you life and you need to enjoy it. As you walk the path that leads to righteousness, you will face many situations that make you realize that it is a battle not just outside in the world and with those you encounter but also within yourself.  God  wants you to fight the good fight. God wants you to seek to please Him and to do the right thing in life. Be charitable , be good , be kind , be forgiving , be loving and compassionate toward others. As you go about doing these things you will have to battle your own demons. We all have them. We all think of the easy path, the shortcut and the darker temptations in life and it is that battle that you must encounter each day. So, what are you fighting for? Is it just to get to heaven? That narrow focus can make a person crazy, burn out or just give up. If you ca

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: WHY DO YOU GO TO CHURCH?

Image
From John Collins Ministries:  Why do you go to church?                                           Just because you go to church on Sunday doesn't make you a Christian.  What you do every day of your life when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior is what makes you a Christian.  It's time to take your faith and your salvation seriously. Pastor John Collins and John Collins Ministries are determined to change the face of Christianity and redeem the truth of the Gospel and the word of God.  You can hear Pastor John Collins broadcast on AM and FM stations across the USA.  John Collins Ministries has a Youtube channe l that posts regular podcasts of Pastor Collins.  John Collins Ministries has a channel on Blogtalk radio .  This country needs to hear the truth of God and Jesus. This world needs to hear and understand what the rules are in order to get to heaven.  They aren’t preached and they aren’t taught, and it’s time for people to hear to hear that trut

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: TATTOOS, JESUS AND GOD

Image
PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST:  Leviticus 19:28 “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:  KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelations 19:16 (NKJV). I do not believe that God wants to deny us personal expression nor choices about whether we want to put ink in our skin. Pastor John Collins, Evangelist Tattoos are taboo, right? Wrong!! There has been “religious” debates over the topic of tattoos for years and years. There has been so much misinterpretation on this subject. I approach not only the bible but also life with common sense and with the goal of understanding things from God’s perspective. With that goal in mind, I try to gain knowledge of the lesson in the words that were written down for our benefit and apply them with common sense to life. Seems simple, right? The Leviticus text that was written to instruct the Israelites not to mark their bodies with cuttings or tattoos were told to them so that they would not do so in honor of t

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: IS YOUR TALK CHEAP?

Image
PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: Be the salt of the earth “Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or cause to fall in our brother’s way.” Romans 14:13 (NKJV). Be a light to those around you~ Pastor John Collins Do you consider your actions and how they may impact those who are around you and their walk with Christ? Think about that for a minute. If you are a guy, do you trash talk women or talk about sleeping with this woman or that with your friends, do you encourage lust with your friends or put down this woman or that with insults and cheap talk? As a woman, do you speak of this man or that and how he was in bed with your friends? Do you treat your spouse in a degrading and insulting way in front of the children? Do you show respect to your friends or do you gossip about them when they walk away? Are you a good influence on those who know you or do you create stumbling blocks for them in their journey to heaven? Do

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: HOT TOPICS, HARD TOPICS

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: GETTING NO WHERE FAST Abortion, drugs, addictions, hate and racism are all part of society today.   Lies, gossip, slander, pride and ego are all part of everyday life.   These are the hard topics that pastors MUST talk about to their congregations in order to teach TRUTH.   Pastors and ministers do not want to hurt feelings and tread on toes in fear of losing congregation membership. Difficult issues of today’s society are often avoided from the church pulpit. In general, most church sermons and pastors’ preaching have become a cool zone.   Evangelist Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries does not hold back on any “hot topic” that is an offense to God.     Pastor John Collins will tell you he is not politically correct, Jesus Christ was not politically correct and not preaching and teaching the TRUTH from the pulpit is NOT pleasing God. Cushioning the truth behind what society deems acceptable is leading a congregation to complacency and acceptan

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: WHAT'S THAT?

Image
JOHN COLLINS EVANGELIST: BUBBLES OF DENIAL Introduction “Are you talking to me? Are you talking to me?”   If we hear that phrase with a heavy New York accent and a hand gesture by the speaker pointing to himself, we chuckle.   The prophets of old told of tales of horror and pain, and the Hebrews looked at them blankly as if to ask “Are you talking to me?”   Sadly, we are in the same situation now, and it isn’t funny.   The commandments that God wrote for Moses and the Israelites have been padded with the lie that we don’t have to pay attention to them because Jesus replaced them.   Wrong.   Fear and trembling have been padded with shiny promises of wealth and fortune if we give enough money to a prosperity pastor.   Wrong.   Pastor John Collins is passionately preaching and teaching that our will gets us in trouble, that God wants us to come back to Him and find Jesus again follow the will of God.   We don’t want to look in a mirror and examine why we keep on the b

DESIRING JESUS

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: Opening your heart. “Open the eyes of my heart” is a popular Christian song and it holds a lesson that Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries teaches in a recent message.   Consider closely what it is that you ask for when you consider your faith, your heart, your sin, and your path to heaven.   It’s how we get to our real final destination that we work on here in this life, says Pastor John Collins .   Pastor John Collins writes: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 (NKJV). We know the story; that Jesus suffered for us, that He died for us, that He was separated from God for us, that He was buried and that He rose again. We know that Jesus is our Savior and that the work was completed by Him as our propitiation. What can Jesus do for you now? There are many who pray for healing, for financia

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REDEEMING THE GOSPEL: EXCUSES, EXCUSES

Image
FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: PROCRASTINATION “The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.” Proverbs 21:25 (NKJV). “He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough!” Proverbs 28:19 (NKJV). Procrastination is a problem for many. There are many reasons to procrastinate and all of them come with excuses that we make up in our heads. You can’t find the time to work out because you are always at work which is why you can’t find the time to get to your kids’ games or events. You can create an excuse for putting off anything that you feel guilty for avoiding but in the long run it just creates more guilt. Life is complicated and we set goals for ourselves and when we don’t meet those goals we end up punishing ourselves mentally. Procrastination becomes a habit and a way to hurt ourselves when we don’t feel that we deserve to meet the goals that we have set, whatever those may be. God
